Celebrating 3 Years of Micromobility by Giving Back to Communities

Birthdays are usually about celebration, but this year feels different.

Since the team at Bird can’t be together for our third anniversary, we’ve decided to use this month to better connect with our communities, whether virtually or safely in person.

Bird Community Days is our way of giving back to the people and places who have given so much to us over the past three years. Instead of a party and presents, we’ll be offering our time and resources to the causes that are important to our communities—and to our team.

The program will be centered around charitable giving and volunteer work. Every Bird team member will receive additional paid time off in October to put towards volunteering at a local organization of their choice. These hours can be used separately or all at once throughout the month, and they can be spent volunteering responsibly in person or online.

In addition, Bird will be both encouraging and matching employee donations to Color of ChangeSustainable Works and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. We proudly support these organizations because of their inspiring dedication to community, sustainability and social justice.

Thank you to all who have made the past three years so memorable. It’s an honor to be able to serve in your communities, and we look forward to many more years together as we transition urban mobility away from cars and pollution towards a cleaner, healthier and more equitable future.
