Bird e-Bikes Now Available in the Lyft App

One Ride Closer to Seamless City Movement

Finding a Bird ride just got easier.

Bird and Lyft Urban Solutions, Lyft’s bikeshare arm, have partnered to make Bird e-bikes available directly in the Lyft app, building on the successful launch of the scooter collaboration last year, which introduced thousands of new riders to shared micromobility through one familiar platform.

In early launch cities like Denver, Bird e-bike rides grew 54% in the first 30 days. The integration is also live in Nashville and Cleveland, with Atlanta, Seattle, and Columbus scheduled to follow in 2026.

“Integrating our e-bikes and e-scooters into the Lyft app gives millions of people instant, single-tap access to affordable, convenient ways to move,” said Stewart Lyons, Co-CEO of Bird. “Together, we’re expanding multimodal options for every kind of trip and helping make cities more connected and less reliant on individual car use.”

Why Bikes Matter Now More Than Ever

E-bikes are transforming how people move through cities.

Bird’s new B100 e-bike, launched last summer, is seeing up to 4x higher demand than Bird’s other e-bike models.

For cities, programs like Denver RTD’s new subsidy pilot, which offers discounts for Bird rides ending at major public transportation hubs, highlight how micromobility supports first- and last-mile connections while helping cities reach equity and sustainability targets.

A Shared Vision for Smarter Cities

Lyft and Bird share the goal to make sustainable transportation accessible to everyone.

This partnership represents a shared vision between Bird and Lyft to create more connected, multimodal transportation networks that help people move efficiently while reducing traffic and emissions.

“This partnership gives riders more ways to get where they’re going through one simple app,” said Michael Brous, Head of Lyft Urban Solutions. “We’re committed to building transportation networks that work for everyone — where you can seamlessly move from a Lyft ride to a Bird e-bike, all in service of making cities more livable, accessible, and sustainable.”

Together, Bird and Lyft are helping cities move one ride closer to a future that’s cleaner, safer, and more accessible for everyone.
