Bird, Bumble Pair Up to Create Meaningful Connections in a COVID World

If 2020 has taught us one thing, it’s that in a world of social distance and confinement, meaningful connections are more important than ever.

That’s why Bird has paired up with Bumble, the popular dating app with millions of users worldwide, to help people match and connect in fun and responsible ways. Think of it as a new twist on the classic story of the Bird and the Bee.

As part of the collaboration, a fleet of Bird scooters smartly dressed up in Bumble’s eye-catching canary yellow colors will be mixed in with our classic e-scooters. Riders who discover one of these specially-branded vehicles will be invited to download the Bumble app and receive a free ride

The story makes for a perfect ice-breaker, and who knows, it may even help you find the match you’ve been looking for.

“Bird’s mission to make cities more liveable means providing people with sustainable, accessible mobility, and this exciting collaboration with Bumble has the added bonus of helping foster greater connections in our communities,” said Rebecca Hahn, Chief Corporate Social Responsibility Officer at Bird. “We hope that our partnership with Bumble will make people smile during what has been a truly difficult year, and we look forward to hearing about the stories and bonds that are created as a result of the program.”

The collaboration will kick off today starting in Tel Aviv, Israel and featuring a fleet of 50 Bumble-branded Birds. To learn more about community-focused partnerships happening around the world, subscribe to the Bird Cities Blog.
