Responsibilities

  • Hands on Electrical and Mechanical Tech support for Vehicle Engineering
  • In-depth, hands-on electronic circuit-level testing and data collection
  • Prototype harness builds
  • PCBA Reworks including surface mount component replacements
  • Issue investigations
  • Tools and shop management and organization, supplies inventory management
  • Data collection
  • Fixture projects
  • Equipment calibrations and records keeping
  • Dynamometer and other equipment operation and care

Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in Engineering or 2-5 years of applicable work experience
  • Electronics technician hands-on skills: soldering, PCB rework, building cables
  • Experience testing and troubleshooting electronics in an electronics lab
  • Familiarity with lab bench power supplies, DMMs, oscilloscopes , logic analyzers
  • A creative curiosity, collaborative work ethic, hardworking enthusiasm
  • Excellent communication skills and team working tendencies
  • Multi-tasking and self starting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Some familiarity with software programming or scripting (eg Python)
  • Familiarity with data logging tools
  • Fabrication Skill
  • Strong understanding of vehicle systems
