Connecting the Multimodal Network: Lyft + FreeNow Integrations

Bird Team

The future of urban transportation is multimodal: a single trip might combine a train, a short scooter ride, and a walk to the door. For that future to work, riders shouldn’t have to juggle a different app for every mode. Bird’s latest integrations bring shared micromobility directly into the platforms people already rely on.

Bird vehicles are now available through Lyft and FreeNow, two of the largest mobility platforms in North America and Europe. Riders can find, unlock, and start a Bird trip without leaving the app they already open to get around — making a scooter or e-bike a natural extension of the journeys they’re already planning.

These integrations meaningfully expand access. By placing Bird inside high-traffic mobility apps across two continents, we put sustainable first- and last-mile options in front of millions more potential riders — and make it easier for them to choose micromobility for the trips it serves best.

Just as important, this supports cities working toward their multimodal goals. The more seamlessly micromobility connects with ride-hailing and transit, the more people leave their cars behind. We’re proud to partner with Lyft and FreeNow to make the connected mobility network more accessible than ever.
