How we interview at Bird
Each team at Bird is unique, but here's what the journey usually looks like.
You apply
Thanks for your interest in joining Bird! After you hit submit, our recruitment team will thoroughly review your application. We understand the time and effort that goes into crafting your CV and cover letter, so we ensure every application receives careful consideration. Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we are only able to contact candidates who are selected to progress to the next stage. If your skills match what we're looking for, you'll hear from us soon!
The first contact
Ready for takeoff? Your application caught our attention, so we'll contact you via email to schedule a first chat with a Recruiter. This video call is an opportunity to get to know one another — we'll discuss your motivation for joining Bird, previous experience, and career goals, while answering any questions you may have. Make sure you're prepared and be yourself, and read up on our company, mission, and values.
The second conversation
Did sparks fly? Then we'd like to invite you to meet with the Hiring Manager. In this conversation, we'll talk more in-depth about the position and the team. We'll also deep-dive into your skillset and how it relates to the role, focusing on previous situations where you've demonstrated behaviors and values that align with Bird.
Assignment (if any)
Is the hiring team impressed? Great news! Each team at Bird is unique and some have their own variation of the interview process. At this point, we'll most likely ask you to complete an assignment for the role — a business case or technical assessment.
Final interview(s)
You've made it to the final round! In this session, you'll meet with the broader team and key internal stakeholders who will outline the opportunities and challenges of the role, while assessing your skills and alignment with our organization. Be prepared to discuss or present your assignment if you completed one.
Offer
If we think it's a perfect match and the feeling is mutual, then you're ready to join the flock! By now you should understand the impact you can make in this role and why Bird is the right step in your career path.
