Travel plans cancelled this summer? We’ve got you.
While nothing can make up for a missed trip with family or friends, sometimes it’s nice to have an excuse to plan a creative getaway a little closer to home. That’s where Summer Days by Bird comes in.
Through August 31, we’re offering three free scooter rides up to €5 each for first time Bird riders in select European cities* whose travel plans have been cancelled this summer. That’s three free opportunities to check out a new local shop, catch an open-air summer movie or explore a new neighborhood with friends. No matter what your plans entail, we want to help make it easier for you to accomplish them in a safe, sustainable and socially distant way.
To redeem your free Bird rides this summer, simply follow these steps:
- Download or take a photo of your cancelled travel plans from this spring and/or summer
- Email the file or document to localgetaway@bird.co (make sure the rider name matches the name on the cancelled travel plan)
- Receive 3 unique Bird promo codes worth €5 each right in your inbox and go exploring!
If you don’t have any cancelled travel plans, first of all, great, and second of all, don’t worry; we’re always looking for opportunities to help new Bird riders switch from cars to electric micromobility. This is doubly true at a time when providing sustainable, socially distant transportation and supporting local economies have never been more important.
Whether it’s our Frequent Flyer loyalty program in Germany, discounted rides in Spain and Portugal or our week of unlimited free unlocks currently taking place in Oslo and Stockholm (July 13-19), we’ll continue putting communities first in order to help build the next normal in urban mobility.
So go ahead, send in those cancelled travel plans and take a few free rides on us. The summer of 2020 may not be what any of us are used to, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be filled with incredible memories.
*Participating cities include: Paris, Marseille, Lyon, Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Munich, Antwerp, Stockholm, Oslo, Milan and Rome. Subject to change. For more information, visit our Help Center.
