Just last month we announced a 100 city s.h.a.r.e. Safe Streets Tour where we will be visiting communities around the world to better ensure that Bird riders are properly equipped to safely enjoy their journey. In addition to educating people on key responsible riding tips, our team of experts are showcasing the fundamentals of safe road use in partnership with local organizations, businesses, and health and safety experts.
Catch us in a city near you as we help make responsible riding simple and achievable by providing each attendee with five essential s.h.a.r.e tips:
- Safe riding. Navigate traffic and bike lanes with care.
- Heightened awareness. Anticipate what others might do.
- Always alert. Save the selfies and music for after the ride.
- Respect for pedestrians. Yield and keep walkways accessible.
- Eyes on the road. Steer clear of potholes and other vehicles.
With the Tour having kicked off in June, our recent events have proven successful, drawing both riders and community members alike. Bird has partnered with local advocacy groups from Walk Bike Nashville to Smart Columbus as we share a message of safe and responsible riding.
In addition to educating people on these essential tips and demonstrating responsible riding, we also developed a virtual reality experience that puts the viewer in the perspective of a rider as they can learn the key tips and responsible riding practices from the comfort of a chair or anywhere they like. This experience provides first-timers an immersive educational experience before taking their first ride, and gives experienced riders a refresher in responsible riding.
