Starting today, MoGo bikeshare will be available in the Bird app to help give riders more options to move efficiently and sustainably around Detroit.
All MoGo stations from downtown to Northwest Detroit, Ferndale, Oak Park, Huntington Woods, Berkley and Royal Oak will be visible and accessible to Bird riders alongside our fleet of eco-friendly shared scooters. This includes both Iconic and e-assist Boost bikes.
“MoGo and Bird share a common goal: to give Detroit residents and visitors greater access to affordable micromobility options,” said Adriel Thornton, MoGo’s Executive Director. “Our integration with the Bird app helps highlight and promote the wonderful transportation services MoGo provides in partnership with the City of Detroit Department of Transportation, all at no cost to MoGo, the city or our riders.”
Bird Riders who would like to access a MoGo can simply tap on the clearly marked icons in the Bird map. They will immediately be taken to MoGo’s Transit App, where a selection of passes can be purchased and rides started within seconds.
The integration is offered as a part of Bird’s Smart Bikeshare Program first launched this summer. In addition to a global fleet of our own shared e-assist bikes, the program also offers cost-free integrations with local bikeshare providers, highlighting them for Bird’s millions of global riders.
Detroit’s MoGo will join local bikeshare operators in cities like Los Angeles, Austin, San Antonio, Milwaukee and Lincoln in the US, as well as the Norwegian capital of Oslo, in integrating with Bird.
